Woman Breaks Into Dentist’s Office And Pulls 13 Teeth From Unconscious Patient

A Nevada woman broke into a dentist’s office, stealing cash and removing 13 teeth from an unconscious patient on two separate occasions. Laurel Eich, who isn’t a dentist, claimed to have previously worked at the office, according to a press release from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office. However, that claim remains unsubstantiated and Eich was arrested and charged with multiple crimes.

She didn’t just steal a patient’s teeth. During the first break-in, Eich is said to have stolen $22,862 in cash and checks. However, she returned on another date to remove the 13 teeth on an unconscious patient and took home discarded anesthetic from the practice.

Eich admitted what she did pretty quickly. Investigators say that Eich “admitted to multiple people” including police that she’d removed the person’s teeth and broken into the practice. She’s said to have performed the extractions “on her own time.”

She was arrested and charged once police became aware of her activities. While it’s unclear how exactly they were led to Eich, once her activities were discovered, she was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary, one count of grand larceny, one count of conspiracy to commit burglary, and one count of performing surgery on another without a medical license.

Eich could face serious time behind bars if found guilty. Given that she freely admitted what she’d done, chances of that are pretty high. She was taken into custody and booked into Washoe County Jail and held on $20,000 bond.
